Off The Beaded Path is a full service Bead Store in the heart of Downtown Forest City NC. The store did not start out as a store, it started out as a dream! In February 2005 Kelly Dale put 1 glass case in her husbands shop on main street in Forest City. As she made jewelry and put it in the shop people started coming by and asking Do you carry the beads to make this? or Can you get this finding? It dawned on Kelly one day that the town really needed a Bead Shop so that people didn't have to drive to Asheville, Charlotte, or Greenville to shop for beads. So, she started ordering a few products each week and soon she had taken over half of her husbands shop and needed some more room. In February 2006 she moved out of her husbands shop and moved into her very own shop on Trade Street in Forest City. She continued to order a few new products each week and a year later the shop is packed full of great beads, stringing material, magazines, books, crystals, and so much more. Off The Beaded Path is not big retail chain like Wal-Mart, a Large Craft store like Michaels, or even a multi-million dollar bead company like Fire Mountain Gems. We may not always have the biggest sales, or the most merchandise but what we can guarantee you is that each time you come to our store you will be greeted by a friendly staff member who is more then willing to help you with any beading problems or concerns.
